The patents of APS are wholly dependent on e.Digital....without them it does not work...e.Digital is half a system that was approved by the studios.

The system is a double encrypted system....in this case DivX encode /encryption and associated attributes...loaded to the Digi...in that state...through different means.

The Digi media(be it flash...HDD...optical ...etc then encrypts....utilizing its proprietary means....The I/O authenticator is specialized and unique to make communication with the host data loader for transfer of files.

The Digi utilizes a media drive incryptor/decryptor...for the hardware.... This method protects other files as well as the encrypted files.

Along with that a...

File decryptor assemblage with associated attributes for the DiVx file decryption.

Utilizing their unique technology...instead of creating a whole new process...they just bringing the whole existing process under their structure.
