The logic thats driving the tought process for me is not so much what patents Tracy brings with him so much as the relationships he has. If you think about the introduction of Panasonic / MAS into the competition next fall then both Wencor / IMS both stand to have their claim to this market compromised. However if they are able to recognise the value that each brings to the other then they`ve created a win - win situation. The IMS TDL offers a very dynamic improvement over existing content download systems. Their Fugitsu laptop is about 4 #`s and has all the logistical shortcomings inherrent in the totally portable player, Digeplayer included. The DigEsystem is a dramatic improvement over both the DigEplayer and certainly the IMS Pea. The Question is, was Tracy DeCuir brought into the process solely for the marketing of the DigEsystem? Thats the stated purpose but it seems to me that both IMS and Wencor have an opportunity to partner their resources and create a truely formidable paradigm creating a dominance in the marketplace.

If for no other reason it makes for an interesting discussion point. I can certainly see the advantages of a partnership.
