Unveils Two New Set-Top Box Solutions: DC 501 `Chicago` All-Digital Set-Top Box and the `Tahoe` High Definition (HD) Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
Pace Micro Technology, a leading digital set-top box provider specializing in the development of emerging technologies across all television platforms, today showcased its latest innovations in set-top boxes for cable at National Cable & Telecommunications Association`s (NCTA) National Show in San Francisco, April 3-5, in booth #5958. The set-top boxes Pace is featuring include the new DC 501 Chicago all-digital set-top box, and the Tahoe HD DVR set-top solution.

Pace set-top boxes that are featured at this year`s National Show include:
-- The Chicago DC 501 is one of the most innovative box designs in the market today. The most powerful standard definition, all-digital box, the Chicago DC 501 offers superior processing power for emerging applications along with outstanding connectivity options - all in a small physical package. Consumers can still keep their current analog televisions and receive all the benefits of this advanced technology.
-- The Tahoe DC775 HD-DVR is the most advanced high definition DVR for North America and the first cable set-top box to offer features based on next generation silicon. It provides SD, HD and enhanced analog video recording capability on its 160GB hard disk drive - along with industry-leading processing power and memory architecture that can support advanced applications like OCAP, DSG, and multi-room video distribution. Tahoe`s internal DOCSIS modem can also provide high-speed data connections for home computers, wireless routers and VoIP Terminal Adapters.
-- The Daytona DC755HD is one of the most advanced high-definition digital cable set-tops in its class and the first to successfully complete Motorola`s MediaCipher Conditional Access Validation Testing. It provides an additional choice for MSOs using Motorola`s network. Developed with existing and future applications and services in mind, the Daytona DC755HD supports VOD, HDTV, and other advanced applications, including TV Guide`s i-Guide IPG.
-- The Indiana DC511 is a standard definition set-top that comes with an extra 100 MIPs processing power and improved robustness, through an innovative use of plastics in the enclosure design to fight wear and tear.
-- The Laguna DC551HD is a high definition set-top box that comes with HDMI as standard - the latest in display connectivity - to provide secure, high-performance digital audio and video links. The Laguna DC551HD set-top box also supports an optional 1394 5C protected interface, and boasts best-in-class processing speed and memory capacity and comprehensive connectivity options for easy installation into even the most complex home theatre systems. The connectivity options include component video loop through, electrical and optical audio connectivity and an IR receiver port for remotely locating the set-top box.
-- PVR2Go Personal & Mobile Entertainment Device is the world`s first mobile personal video recorder (PVR) for payTV services. Pace`s PVR2GO, with a 5`` widescreen display, extends the opportunity for PVR services beyond the `traditional` home-viewing environment. Users can download protected TV content onto a 40 GByte hard drive, to view on a handheld screen anywhere that they choose. The display has touch screen controls that include pause, fast-forward and rewind. In addition to television, PVR2GO can be used for audio (MP3 and Windows media audio), viewing JPEG images and playing games.
