Message: Markman hearing, Vivitar

We may have the best system in the world, but it sucks if takes 2, 3, or 4 years to decide a patent case.

Based on the latest lawsuits, the eight submitted, it will be approximately 3-5 years before we see any resolution, which may include appeals.

It's therefore logical to assume that to file even 100 of the 174 infringers would consume a minimum of 10-20 years and an astronomical cost to DM, which I doubt they would incur.

I have a problem with the "rocket docket" definition tagged to the East Texas court if it takes 2 1/2 years to establish a markman hearing or trial date.

If this is a matter of fact, then edig has to get much more aggressive in their sales effort, not just IFE, but other markets as well. Otherwise we will see the shares balloon to 400 million before we see any settlement, if we ever see one.
