You guys seem to agree on a point that makes little sense to me:

``As for a legacy carrier, we just don`t know now and I suspect Larry is correct, Wencor has no advantage in announcing anything to anyone. They are not a public company and they can make more money with more satisfied customers if none of the cats get out of the bag(s).``

While I`ll grant you that if a certain customer(s) expressly want Wencor, et al, to stay mum, they should. But I have a rough time with the thought that if Wencor gives no indication of digE sales, it`s somehow to their advantage. Silence implies no sales. No sales implies an inferior/over-priced product. This doesn`t create demand.

However, an announcement by Wencor that they have received orders for X,000 units (and nothing more as far as details) could only serve to their advantage, as I reckon. Likewise for EDIG, assuming they are pursuing customers independently for non-IFE venues (or not, since they DO have shareholders in desparate need of passification!).

It doesn`t have anything to do with whether Wencor is a public company (with shareholders to passify) or privately held (as they are), it has to do with marketing. ``If others want it, I should want it too - or at least have a closer look at it`` thought process is initiated by such PR.

Can you guys agree with me on this? (Don`t worry, my heart won`t be broken if you can`t - LOL. And counter-arguments are welcome).

JMHO,

SGE
