Like any other business supply and demand is in play. The more you have over what people need the price will go down. Find another 50 thousand barrels a month of oil on U.S. soil and you become independent of the world. This congress with its head up its ass has trouble understanding that. We need to get rid of them and get people to represent us the little people who understands why we are going into the outhouse of economics. Its bad enough we have to deal with the FED, but to have congress that is full of it is just a little much.
