Short sellers don`t advertise their plays, especially if they are coming out of Canada or from offshore entities. I seriously doubt they would want to draw attention to the fact that they are naked short selling. In fact, according to that article, their goal is to make the companies they short disappear in order to not have to cover and finish the transaction thus making a tax obligation unnecessary.
Because you have no evidence doesn`t mean it isn`t happening.
We likely may never know but considering the well organized discussions and articles on the subject, it might just be naive to think there are no other forces at work.
The market allows investors to play both the upside and down side of the markets legally. The otcbb and pinks appear to be in another league, one that appears to be unregulated.
