Jin-Suk Park focuses his practice on patent litigation and intellectual property transactions. Mr. Park is experienced with patents in several scientific and technical fields, including computer semiconductors, integrated circuits, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and genetic engineering. He is also experienced in patent portfolio valuation, licensing and risk assessments. Mr. Park has litigated multiple cases in the United States District Courts as well as Section 337 cases before the ITC.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Mr. Park was an associate in the New York and Washington, D.C., offices of Clifford Chance, LLP.
Mr. Park received his B.A. in biology in 1996 from the Johns Hopkins University, where his pre-medical course work included physics, organic chemistry and biochemistry. He also conducted independent research at the Wilmer Eye Institute at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and as a M.S. candidate in biology at the University of Guam Marine Laboratory. He received both his J.D. and his M.B.A. in 2001 from Boston University, where he was co-director of the law school’s Negotiation and Client Counseling competitions and a student clerk for the Honorable John S. Unpingco and the Honorable William D. Browning (senior judge) of the U.S. District Court for the 9th Circuit. Mr. Park is a member of the New York and District of Columbia Bars. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Park speaks Spanish and Korean.
