``CanJet introduces in-flight entertainment``

HALIFAX, March 21 /CNW/ - Doug Newson, Director, Marketing & Sales,

CanJet Airlines, announced today that Canada`s low-fare airline plans to

introduce the ``digEplayer`` in-flight entertainment system on selected Florida

bound flights as well as selected flights operated in partnership with tour

operator Sunquest.

Mr. Newson said, ``The digEplayer is the world`s first portable

Audio/Video-On-Demand in-flight entertainment system and we are delighted to

be launching this product with Wencor & APS, the leaders in in-flight portable

entertainment systems.`` He further stated, ``It is our plan to offer digEplayer

rentals to passengers on all long-haul flights meaning our customers flying

between Toronto-Calgary and Toronto-Vancouver will be able to enjoy this new

in-flight feature.``

``We are delighted that CanJet has chosen the digEplayer(TM),`` said Brent

Wood, CEO and President of APS. ``The cutting edge design, ease of use and wide

variety of entertainment choices on the digEplayer will make their customers`

flying experience better than ever.``

Mr. Newson pointed out that the digEplayer is a state of the art,

sophisticated in-flight entertainment system that can hold more than 60 full-

length movies, sitcoms and 10 hours of music content available on customer

demand. The system features current early release movie content from Dream

Works SKG, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers and Buena Vista (Disney). Newson

said, ``As CanJet expands its fleet and route network and adds more long-haul

flights, it is incumbent on our airline to offer guests more enhancements and

amenities and the introduction of digEplayer is an excellent beginning.``
