ON COURSE FOR A RECORD SHOW
Up to noon yesterday, April 1st, an impressive total of 2,500 visitors had passed through the doors of Aircraft Interiors Expo. They came to see new products and technologies displayed by more than 500 exhibitors from 27 countries.
While no-one can deny there are some serious challenges facing the industry – and the aviation sector at large – the high level of interest being generated by this year’s show clearly demonstrates that aircraft interiors are a key weapon in the airlines’ fiercely competitive battle to win and retain customers.
It also highlights the importance of Aircraft Interiors Expo as a place for the global industry to meet and do business. Speaking at a press conference to launch Aircraft Interiors Expo 2008 Klaus Brauer, Director, Passenger Satisfaction & Revenue, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said: “In this industry we all need a forum in which to exchange ideas and discuss important issues. Aircraft Interiors Expo is the premier forum for this. It’s not just a regional show, or a European show, it’s an international event.”
