My take here is that it is not necessary to employ MOS to view a movie on a pvp because it is retrieving the data from internal memory. Where MOS comes in is with `streaming` video on, say, a pda that doesn`t have the room for a full-blown operating system?

Where I think I may be getting confused is accessing streaming data vs. stored data.
