I still think we'll hear something regarding an embedded system. Why would they have it ready to demonstrate and keep it shrouded in secrecy during the most opportune time for maximum exposure.

Could be it's ready but the relationships necessary to launch it aren't. I think it's more likely they wait until the last moment and attempt to maximize the splash. It's in the interest of those we're partnered with to capture the moment too.
