Of the 6 DM lawyers working our suits, 4 are partners and have some very impressive credentials. Includes the head of the Intellectual Property Litigation Division and two with engineering backgrounds.
Gary R. Maze practices in the area of intellectual property law and litigation. He has litigated patent and trademark cases and has handled the prosecution of patents and copyrights in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, Internet and business methods arts in the United States as well as foreign patent prosecutions and applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Maze worked for more than 20 years in the computer industry at all levels, including engineering, data communications, operating system and database application, software design and coding, marketing and sales. Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, he is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Mr. Maze is a 1994 graduate of the South Texas College of Law and a graduate of Southern Methodist University.

Louis Norwood ("Woody") Jameson is head of the Intellectual Property Litigation division of Duane Morris' Trial Practice Group. Mr. Jameson practices in the area of intellectual property law and litigation with emphasis on patents, trademarks, copyrights, false advertising, licensing and unfair competition. Mr. Jameson heads up the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation practice group and has been named a Georgia Super Lawyer in the field of IP litigation by Atlanta Magazine and Georgia Super Lawyers Magazine.
Mr. Jameson has represented several well-known companies in complex patent litigation involving such technologies as cable television technology, Internet technology, MPEG decoding technology, telecommunications and computer hardware and software applications. He likewise has had lead responsibility for trademark and false advertising litigation for Fortune 500 companies, and anti-counterfeiting activities surrounding the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. He is a member of the Litigation and Patent, Copyright and Trademark Law sections of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. He has served on the Federal Trial Practice and Procedure Committee of the American Bar Association, has served on numerous committees of the International Trademark Association, and has been a speaker at seminars on a multitude of patent and trademark topics.
Mr. Jameson is a 1988 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and a 1984 graduate of the University of North Carolina.

James Y.C. Sze practices intellectual property law, applying it as a tool to promote business growth. Focusing on clients in high-tech industries, Mr. Sze tailors intellectual property strategies based on corporate needs. His practice includes patent portfolio management, identifying technology for IP protection, auditing in-house intellectual property management practices and patent prosecution/litigation, particularly in electrical and computer-related patents.
Mr. Sze has enforced patents he has written, providing perspectives in patent drafting and enforcement. This experience also enhances his rendering of opinions of counsel regarding patent validity, infringement, and enforceability, as well as freedom to operate within a particular technological space.
Admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Sze's litigation experience includes both U.S. District Court actions and a trial before the U.S. International Trade Commission. In 2005 and 2007, Mr. Sze was a semifinalist for The San Diego Daily Transcript Top IP attorney award.
Prior to entering law school, Mr. Sze was an engineer with Qualcomm Inc., where he designed satellite communications software, messaging systems and other wireless applications.
Mr. Sze is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, the University of California, San Diego (M.S. Electrical and Computer Engineering) and the University of California at Berkeley (B.S., Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and B.S., Materials Science Engineering).

Daniel C. Minteer practices in the area of intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent infringement, trade dress, trade secret and trademark litigation. He also has represented a number of different clients in disputes over financial arrangements involving intellectual property. Mr. Minteer also has extensive experience in litigation, particularly in financial matters, and has worked on construction defect, antitrust, 17200, foreclosure and general breach of contract matters. His experience also includes serving as vice president of a manufacturing company for six years.
Mr. Minteer served a three-year term on the State Bar Judicial Nominees Commission, in which capacity he interviewed all state trial and appellate judges appointed by the governor of California. He also has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
A member of the American and San Diego bar associations, Mr. Minteer is a 1974 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, where he was Associate Editor of the U.C.L.A. Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif, and a graduate, with high honors, of San Diego State University.
