The scenario reminds me of a cartoon in MAD magazine (40 years ago?). The scene: A Depression era scruffy looking dude standing on the corner with a cart trying to sell apples - for $500 each. A fellow steps up and says ``you won`t sell many apples at that price``, to which the vendor replies ``yeah, but I only need to sell one!``.
