PTSC started out with Shaboom matching a simplified 32bit processor register scheme and buss structure matched to cheap 8bit memory. The concept was to match a 32bit process to cheap memory. They have moved beyond that, however....for this, they implement a direct connect processor to DRAM or Alt connect to EPROM...Their moving to an EEPROM or for a  more manageable nonvolatile environment is not far fetched. See figures. See figure 6 and 3 of 5809336. 445 can implement/format EEPROM(NOR Flash) or  Flash(NAND).

Even better...look at figure 9...which is a completely different approach and visualize that as a nonvolatile environment.

 What e.Digital does with a nonvolatile environment is shrink infostructure.
