Not sure of the dates, but recently Delta closed its main hub in Dallas and has beefed up its hub and opperations in Salt Lake. That is a lot closer to APS/Wencor. Also Delta and Alaska Airlines are on track for a code sharing deal. That means that passengers of both airlines can have access to the same lounge as well as other perks. Also Delta`s CEO hails from Alaska`s HQs Seattle. Not sure if the dots are connected, but they are alot closer.
