e.Digital Corporation (OTC:EDIG) Tuesday announced the appointment of Robert Jecmen to its Board of Directors.
Jecmen retired from Intel Corp. in August after 24 years of service. Jecmen was managing Intel's Mobile PC business as Vice President of the Intel Architecture Group when he retired. During his tenure as general manager of Intel's Mobile PC Group, a series of industry leading mobile PC building block products were introduced which tripled the performance of mobile PC's while offering unique power management features. These new capabilities helped stimulate unprecedented growth in the mobile PC industry over the past two years.

Jecmen, 51, is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a masters degree in Material Science Engineering.
He has 27 years of industry experience in semiconductor electronics. While at Intel, he was also Vice President of the Technology and Manufacturing Group responsible for developing and ramping into volume production several generations of silicon process technology supporting microprocessors and flash memory product lines. Jecmen was also the General Manager of the California development center where many of Intel's Pentium(TM) processor and flash memory products were developed and manufactured. Jecmen holds two patents on high-performance transistor and multilevel metal technology.
