March 13, 2005 – HARD on the heels of the announcement of Varig’s adoption of the IMS Inflight PEA handheld system comes news that Singapore low-cost Valuair is trialling the device on its route to Perth, Australia.
The PEAs are available on loan for a rental charge of S$10 (US$6), covering use of the device and purchase of a headset. Content includes films, TV programmes, music videos, music and games.
“We understand the need to offer something that will help make flying these longer distances enjoyable,” says Valuair PR manager Nilesh Pritam. “Depending on demand, we will increase the number of sets available.”
The Valuair product also includes allocated seating, leather seats, complimentary hot meals and 20kg baggage allowance.

I don`t believe PEA has any type of embedded system offering. Does anyone have any info to the contrary ?
Embedded morphs this to a completely new level.
