Another leisure carrier opts for IFE

March 13, 2005 – THE updated interiors to be introduced this summer on the Boeing 757-200s and 767-200s operated by British leisure carrier Britannia Airways will feature in-seat IFE.

The Enhanced Interior Package (EIP) for the aircraft is designed to create a sense of space and modernity through the use of new curved ceilings and larger, more rounded storage bins. Also included are new seats with flat-screen liquid crystal IFE displays.

Britannia says it has adopted EIP to improve comfort and passenger appeal, increase market competitiveness and extend the life of the fleet. The new interiors reflect those of the Boeing 777 and the new 787.

I wonder if this is one of the announcements coming up in the next couple of weeks. I saw some discussion on the board regarding the possibility of an involvement with Boeing adopting the APS/Wencor embedded system...and while I realize we are all just discussing possibilities, that type of scenario certainly would account for such orders in the neighborhood of 40K-100K..... and would certainly take this stock to another level.

The summer timeline is consistent with what I was originally told to be the earliest production for the embedded system, but then they were off a month or two in their initial projections for announcements too...so timelines are just guesses, but the deals appear to be very real.

We should know exactly what is up in the next week or two.
