The discourse that followed generated several posts at a time that every one was snoozing...

Your new strategy of deleting all posts is disposing of the interstitial fluids that nourish this community by messages welcoming back. You can not expect the people here, who have been around for almost 10 years to quit being civil to each other and retrict themselves to the investment in edig topics.

Personally I liked your approach of permiting OT's once in a while to foster a sense of community.
