Re: on line file lockers are of no concern.

 With regard to Shirtpocket camcorder....

"It has 32 MB of built-in memory; an SD card slot supports up to 1 GB of additional memory (card not included)."

It's limited to a 1GB SD reader.

Removable memory is the focus of the last communication. If this product formats the 1GB in the manner e.Digital does and delivers a bit stream to the display through similar caching scheme they're infringing.

IMO, if they are not formatting the flash in a similar manner to e.Digital, and are simply utilizing a simple contiguous environment they're not infringe...yet, utilizing a similar cashing scheme to deliver the bit stream to the display as e.Digital,  they are infringing.

e.Digital ties their contiguous files together physically allowing discrete manipulation of the file being processed stop, forward, continue...etc. For standard contiguous file arrangements you do not have this ability. There's nothing tying the file together other than exact placement in the memory matrix. For this reason of utility, others will cheat on formatting the flash under a similar environment to e.Digital.
