YES...the Microdrive was able to be set up for LBA addressing(Logical block addressing).

However, being a magnetic based media, it can only be used for storage.

It's what e.Digital can do with an electrically based media and discrete manipulation within that is important.

 Flash being electrically based and non volatile....is here for some time to come. What Toshiba says,  or is relaying,  with regard to Flash prices dropping off the edge,  is of no concern.
