lol............the controller with OS/file can be placed any where. The way I see it, the manners in which they do it,  without a doubt, will be copied at varying levels of ability.

Of the 174 companies....they must have a fair idea of who is generating content and manipulating content directly from flash at all levels of implementation.

With that, who is utilizing removable flash as an expansion type entity in order to eliminate design within their product line.

 They're going to find them....and it will not be hard to do so.

 The controller will be microcontroller/cache/with a small initial amount of flash for proprietary use,  that will generate to larger flash or any media you like.

 The application previously post about,  tied to SSD(solid state drive) or hybrid HDdrive,  would  give a real boost to a system.
