True cost to litigate...

must include the cost of the interpruption in business.

The engineers, vendors, executive management, and even BOD members can be called for depositions.  The prep time is very distracting, but not having key company personnel doing what they were hired to do can be even more of a drain.

The high dollars paid to the legal teams is one thing.  The cost to your business can be huge.

IMO, the latter is a part of the reason most companies settle.  Either way, EDIG / DM will have their fair shot at Vivitar, but expect Vivitar to come to the dance with their fair share of firepower.

There is really no way to predict the time line and they certainly will not go for JHawk's time line -- which has come and gone.  So, I guess we'll just have to wait 'em out.  My WAG would be well into 2008.

However, unlike former sibling PTSC (up $0.07 or 14% today), EDIG has a much better chance of a second revenue stream today.  EDIG has a sucessful eVU product already in the market.  That's where the attention should be until DM and EDIG decide to throw us a bone -- and DM could care less about EDIG shareholders...not their job.
