Some intredid soul might wish to check on the shale reserves we have in the state of UTah.....A few years back it was calculated that if the price of gasoline ever got to $3.00 a gallon then it would be profitable to extract the oil from this shale and THERE WOULD BE ENOUGH TO SUPPLY THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES FOR YEARS TO COME BY ITSELF......There are HUGE deposits of this shale oil in Utah alone.
Well the price of gasoline is now over $3.00 a gallon.....So where is all the activity to refine this shale into oil, then into gasoline??? And by the way the oil that could be refined is high quality oil, low in sulfer.
Now that you ask....I will tell you.....It's still right in the ground in the middle of a National Reserve Park designated by .....you guessed it....President William Jefferson Clinton.....It can't be touched....How about them apples.....
