Never heard of it (except U2/SR-71 cameras, or satellite-based or missile-based Infrared sensors - forms of remote viewing, but probably completely different).
There are so many programs that have come and gone. There's actually a contract type called a "SPOSE". When I first encountered one, I asked what the "SPOSE" acronym stood for. I was told that it wasn't an acronym, by an R&D contract for "Spose we try this".
Then there was a Skunk Works contract to develop a prop plane that could take off and land vertically. It had two props in line to develop the necessary thrust. They got one to work - the take-offs weren't too tough, but the "backing down" landings were (where's the rear-view mirror?). The stupid aspect was that it was intended for use on aircraft carriers. Someone forgot to tell the Navy that the (at the time) aircraft carriers had a tendency to move up and down, making the landings almost impossible. I got that story from Kelly Johnson himself.
