Thanks for sharing your thoughts. These are mine. Why is the president of Wencor(West)attending? Why not some PR staff person who has a lesser salary and whose time is not as valuable. My belief is that it has to do with networking and building relationships beyond the meeting, and to get in some golf of course. Someone, some group, or business has to make all those carts that hold 48 digEplayers. I wonder how much those cost and who can sell or rent them to Wencor at the best price. I pray that EDIG isn`t going to tell us that they are going into the cart business. (That is a little humor,sorry LL, I think we all know EDIG won`t be doing that.) Wencor bought APS Inc. We heard that they paid in the millions. When I pay big time for something I make it my focus, especially if I believe that is going to bring in the big money, otherwise why bother? The brochure indicates that Russ is going to talk about collaboration. Maybe the talk won`t be more than parts collaboration. If I had a new product to sell I would use every opportunity. The IFE business is hot and growing. It is not just a gagget, IFE is an environment. I think it would be a missed opportunity if Russ and Robert don`t meet while the two are just miles apart. If Robert doesn`t know that Russ is coming within miles of him I would be surprised and disappointed. But then again we all have missed opportunities. Who from EDIG signed the contract with Bill Boyer? Who from Wencor signed the deal with Bill Boyer? Who negotiated the deal? People from the top tier IMO. They spend their money and TIME wisely.
