Who's kidding who here?

Good discussion, I guess.

I know a little bit about selling into retail.  EDIG has no chance as they stand today.  The last clown that thought he knew the retail market was Jim Collier.  He was our President and he knew very little about entry into the big leagues of retail.  I spoke to him about his decisions and my contacts.  He had no clue and the retail buyers chewed him up with "product on a string" (guaranteed sale with no end date) deals.  It failed.  DUH!

Off line I'll be happy to tell anyone that wants to know what the Circuit City buyer told me.  Some here already know the story, but we do have some welcome new meat; jhawk103@yahoo.com

EDIG's foray into retail was a complete and utter disaster.  Not only did they fail at selling into retail, they lost potential OEM business because those OEMs do not want to compete with their supplier.  If you (EDIG) go direct to retail it is difficult to return to your branded OEM customers and say, "Sorry, we won't do it again."   It just doesn't work that way.

I'll leave it at IF EDIG heads in that direction before seeing big profit dollars, I'll get out.  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

John
