Here we go again.... Okay, I`ve had my differences in the past with EL; till I acknowledged where he was coming from. All those cut-n-pastes were more to create awareness and not necessarily suggesting that EDIG was involved. Just indicating IT/CE direction. For the longest time, I thought he was hyping EDIG via these posts as their inclusion here implied our involvement. I finally ``got it``. He is trying to be a realist, nearly to the point of pessimism.

DaBoss, on the other hand, is the optimist. Though we got in a scrap over extreme trivia recently, I have always viewed him as THE EDIG cheerleader (since `99, and there`s nothing wrong with that. Hey, I need it!). He provides the optimism that helps keep our spirits alive for this investment. But I do recognize that such optimism, on specific things, may not be all that well founded (this conclusion only based on past experience). I acknowledge where he`s coming from though, and deal with his posts accordingly (though I do have difficulty with some of the ``snippy`` ones!). He is an optimimist, nearly to the point of ``irrational exuberance``.

Now if you guys could manage to simply acknowledge eachother`s posts and views accordingly, and eliminate the ``snippy`` ones, everyone would be pleased....

Along these lines: REALITY CHECK. EL may be right on, and recent experience would suggest this; it may be a relatively slow, steady climb for EDIG as it pursues opportunities at the mercy of its customers. DaBoss may be right on, and some major deal(s) could be made sending us to the stratosphere at any time. Many fronts on which this could happen, or not. Only time will tell.... But the best thing here is that, either way, two smart guys think we`ll either slowly improve or take off like a shot, and either scenario should be acceptable to all LONGS. Of course we`d all prefer blast off, even EL, but we may be facing a relatively slow steady climb (which we must come to grips with, and measure our patience-ability). For me, the apparent current steady climb holds my interest, while I (really REALLY) hope for ignition. That`s my basic bottom line.

I see EL and DaBoss as the EDIG balancing act. Please just let it be what it is, and appreciate it for what it is.

Sorry I felt I had to step in, but THE MEDIATOR ain`t in the building.

And one last thing; people should quit suggesting the wittling of my flesh with all this talk of ``cutting Slack``. Gonna give me nightmares!
