Your thinking is on target. It’s inevitable, predicting the next 3-5 years can only go one way if DM is successful.
The long term events will come into play without any planned strategy, and I doubt there is one at this point.
Substantial income from settlements will provide funds for current product expansion into other market segments providing the quarter to quarter operational improvements and also support new research efforts for new product development.
If DM attacks each market segment on a quarter or semi annual basis and establishes reasonable infringement conditions against the lower hanging fruit and wins, then the game plan for follow up lawsuits will have been set against the larger and more powerful companies.
The time frame for this to happen even for 25% of the 174 companies could easily take 1-3 years producing sustained growth from product sales along with cash infusion from the settlements. The share price will appreciate and parallel the growth as the price criteria will be transformed from emotion to earnings based on analytical standards used by the investment community.
It simply cannot happen any other way, it's a given on the basis that DM is successful.
