I believe edig and archos we'r the first to do a handheld video player then came mr.softy's pmp's,,, we conceptualized it with toshiba/samsung via dataplay.  imho - then with Ittiam/that big chinees outfit - forget its handle,,, however i believe some of the filings referenc it going back as far as hango/hitech... even Maycom had made reference to a video-player.
