The real question is who was the owner of MP3, and what was the claim made by Alcatel?...

EDIG patents have nothing to do with MP3. As the Judge noted in his decision throwing the verdict out, some one else owned the Patents for MP3...

It would be interesting to read the Markman Hearing Decision in the Alcatel (Lucent) case. It may give us a better understanding of the claims made by Alcatel, and the dismssal of that case, and its impact on what DM is doing for EDIG at present...
