hiya, just to let you all know that there is a new piece of entertainment making its way onto the aircraft for sunshine first and xl one customers!!!!!!
they are called mezzos,,,,
these are gonna be a replacement for the PEAS onboard
they are a handheld movie player device, packed with dramas, movies, comedy, music,,, they come with free headsets (which are now new in the ear headsets) you can also use your own headsets in them, the batterys last 12 hours, so they will last on any flight! also you can use two headsets at the same time
they are priced between 5.99 and 12.99, i will confirm this went i get my hands back on my mates new longhaul product booklet

soon!!!!! think they go out on the 767 with in the week thats a trial period, then they will be introduced on the 747,, when i go down stairs i will get my hands on the product on. they look fab!

5.99 on short haul flights
contains over 30 hrs of tv content, also games:
poker
hangman
reversi
battleship
soliataire
in flight tetris

music like boys vs girls, urban and america rocks genres
there will be 30 players on board
sunshinefirst pa and xlone pax are given them free of charge,,, in economy they are chargeable (see above prices!)

i'll warn you now, if the crew member offers you a 10 minute free trial, be aware, its not free!!!!!
ive just had a look at the PA'S and they are a hard sell!

hey i think im on a 747 i think not sure lol going on 29th dec at 11 ish in morning....... can we pre book these? so we can make sure we get them?? i brought my son a dvd player as we do long journeys... was about £29.99 not bad price..... so iw as going to buy me and hubby one too... but if we can pre book these they sound good... i think it would be boring for a 9 hour flight with no tv

If the trial run goes well then they will be in use soon, and will therefor still be onboard in DEC,
kaz07 are you in SF? there are 30 and you will get one, no sure bout pre ordering if you are in ECY, but i dont think you will have a problem getting one at the last minute, just ask the crew after they have done the snack service!
THERE is enough entertainment watching the crew for 9 hrs lol, well if i was your crew lol, you wouldnt have a minutes silence....
but they do look good, and it brings XL in line with other charter airlines like TCX

we went last yr and went with AMERICAN AIRLINES never again they were awful and horrible to my son... so i hope i have u on my plane if not ill be telling everyone if i had xlacrew 134l on she would not let us have a minutes peace so come on guys LOL

if thats what cabin ur in my son is 3 so iw as told i couldnt go upstairs... so im in the normal cabin i may upgrade for £299 each but not too sure on that one but if i upgrade u say we will get one of those dvd players? if promo goes ok??? but if in normal cabin just pot luck???

these new units, are they replacing the PEAS in SF? if so are SF passengers charged for using them?

yeah they are changing them, in SF they still remain free of charge
