Field Engineer

 

e.Digital is seeking a Field Engineer to work in an exciting emerging industry which includes working with Hollywood studio distributors, airlines, railway operators and healthcare facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide phone, email and field technical support for key accounts.
• Interface with customers and suppliers as required.
• Perform field upgrades, firmware down loads, trouble shooting and field repair for portable “In Flight Entertainment” devices and associated support equipment and software applications.
• Provide movie “quality assurance” testing on an “on demand” basis.
• May require frequent international travel.

 

Qualifications:

• Electronic equipment repair skills
• Electronic equipment diagnostics skills
• Ability to train other logistics personnel
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills

 

Requirements:

• Candidate must have technical aptitude and the ability to affect repairs, solder, utilize simple test equipment, run diagnostics software and download firmware updates.
• Candidate may also be asked to provide training for equipment usage to on-site logistics personnel at international locations.

 

Minimum Requirements:

• AA or technical vocational school degree with electronic emphasis
• 2 – 5 years technical support experience
• Must possess an active passport
• Willingness to travel

 

Project/Account Manager

 

e.Digital is seeking a Project/Account Manager to manage customer accounts in an exciting and fun industry segment which includes working with Hollywood studio distributors, airlines, railway operators and healthcare facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

• Interface with and respond to customer requests and inquiries for key customer accounts.
• Identify and track required deliverables, material purchase dates, documentation and product delivery dates.
• Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing and engineering to insure all aspects of the account.
• Brief management on account status, via reviews on a bi-weekly or as required basis.

• Conscientious
• Ability to work within dynamic environment with customer delivery pressure
• Personable and able to interface with all levels of customer and supplier organizations 
• Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and Word

• 2 – 5 years applicable experience

Travel is not anticipated but may be required.

e.Digital is seeking a part-time Technical Writer for an exciting, emerging industry and product.

 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare user documentation, technical support documents, basic repair manuals for products and support equipment and applications

 

Minimum Requirements:

• AA degree
•  2 – 5 years applicable experience in technical documentation preparation.

 

 

 

Energy and willingness to work and learn may supersede experience and education requirements on all the above positions.
