When we ported all those codecs natively vi the TI-DSP on the Merit/Puck in 99-00  - hope we tought TI something.

One would speculate that TI is at the top of the mean old copy cat list.  The down stream from that DSP chip would be a large number of products and most of those companies are savy enough to have PO clauses to dump all the grief back onto TI. 

It's kinda like a bar fight, if you know you are going to be in the finght, pick the biggest SOB and swing hard.  That's your best shot. 

Once we know a legal team is in place, we can celebrate.  Before then, it all speculative with the a glimmer of fact from company communications.  Results are still unknown.
