B/E Aerospace goes from good to better

March 15, 2007 – LEADING seat and cabin equipment manufacturer B/E Aerospace is setting its sights on an even better 2007 result than previously projected.

The Florida-based company now expects to generate as much as $1.47 of earnings per diluted share, up five cents on its previous guidance, over the coming year. “The first quarter is tracking well ahead of both our internal plan and consensus estimates,” says CEO Amin Khoury. “We expect to report record revenues, earnings and backlog for the first quarter, and we expect earnings per share to be above consensus forecast.”

He continues: “Most major airlines are either in the process of upgrading their twin-aisle interiors or are making plans to do so. Order activity in the first quarter continues to be very strong. Our recent announcement of $250 million of awards by two major international airlines for both retrofit and new-buy programmes is indicative of this strength.”
