Message: Jet2 enters in-flight entertainment fray

"But live television in flight is gaining ground with a number of carriers - from low-cost JetBlue to fast-growing Etihad."

Live TV is a great concept but the reality is that the programing cuts out continuously throughout the flight due to satellite issues, not to mention constant interruptions from the pilot and staff. Also, the buttons on the arm rests are cumbersome and require excessive pressure to active...not a big problem but certainly an annoyance.

And Jet Blue's screens, while adequate, are smaller than what the eVU offers.  One big plus, it's free, so it's tough to argue about that one.

Having just flown Jet Blue this past weekend, I experienced its plusses and limitations first hand.

eVU offers airlines ancillary revenues, another plus for future sales.
