The "patent troll" was not my point.  The big picture is the validity of protecting one's IP, no matter who owns the patent.  That was what I saw as the point -- even if a company gets called a name one believes is unsavory.  

Ok, EDIG is not a patent troll -- except we want them to sue 100+ companies on their list and none of those companies will call EDIG a "patent troll" ???? 

Of course they will.  Again, who cares as long as the check cashes.  

In case you don't follow sister company PTSC, check out what happened once they got rolling along last year.  Not that EDIG will follow, I don't know, but if memory serves, $0.11 to over $2+ in short order....and they only get half the license fee.  Yep, they get called a "patent troll."   I smile. Stick and stones may break my bones, but I cashed a nice check (thanks again, Gil).
