Go to the TPL site ( they are working with PTSC). At the shareholders' meeting they discussed reverse engineering. It can be a bad thing if you don't want to someone to steal your tech. It can be a good thing if you are wanting to see ( and sue ) if someone has stolen your tech. That is my limited understanding. Others may have more to say.
