That’s a lot… and it got me to wondering how that could possibly be.

From reviewing e.Digital’s patents and reading up a little bit on patent law, my understanding is that each claim in a patent could be considered a sort ‘mini-patent’ such that a company might be judged to infringe on just a portion of a patent without necessarily infringing on all of it - and even apart from the main focus.
If I’m right, then with all the claims to consider across five granted patents I could easily see where several products from several sectors in the electronics industry might come under scrutiny - to include products not necessarily using MicroOS or even flash memory (although I assume such products would still top the list due to the relative strength of their claims in those areas).
I invite someone knowledgeable in patent law to confirm or correct my thoughts here.
