November 29, 2004 New 7 Inch PVP from Hauppauge - pMVP Hauppauge known for its TV PC cards launched a portable video player with 7 inch screen in Germany. It sells for 599 Euros. Well regular PVP4U visitors will immediatly see that the Hauppauge pMVP looks very similar to the MobiNote DVX-POD 7010. The only difference are the two black lines on each side. The rest of the PVP looks the same. Also the specification is the same. So I think it is save to say Hauppauge OEMed the DVX-Pod from MobiNote. The new model is dubbed DP7010-SP. I4U reported in March about a potential new MobiNote PMP dubbed DP7020 that should have been shown at CeBit. The specifications match. So MobiNote decided to call their new player DP7010-SP and not DP7020. The new DVX-POD 7020-SP features built-in speakers and a DRM management solution.
