IMO, this statement is where EDIG revs may be headed. IFE is and should continue to be a revenue stream. However, by it`s definition, IFE plays within an industry riddled with management teams that are, at best, inept. I doubt there were many airline executives in those closed door meetings at CES. They are way too busy convincing their employees to take pay cuts or playing with bankrupcy attorneys.
It is the ``Beyond the IFE industry...`` that is of greater interest to me. The CE business is changing as large retailers can, and do, create house brands with huge volume. While they may not replace all the iPod sales, they have certainly created a market for $39 boom boxes and $99 DAPs. What`s next? I have no idea if EDIG is involved, but did I mention that TGE is a very large provider of house brand products?
Who knows, but we should get a bit of information with the Q report next week.
