With all the recent news, I`m just wondering outloud if passengers will be banned from bringing certain battery-operated electric entertainment devices onboard i.e. ipods?

I hate to say it but if that is the case then airlines may have to provide more onboard IFE for their passengers. Furthermore, wouldn`t IFE competition from carry-on devices be reduced?

I would hate to benefit from negative activity but it could be the trend of the future - not to allow any carry-on ife.
