Also keep in mind that the file management....because of it`s structured environment...is directly responsible for power savings.

This power saving ability should not be confused when gauging against say a dedicated five folder recorder.

A five folder recorder utilizes a simple contiguous structure for the 99 files in each folder and you are not manipulating the files....so the power consumption is minimal.

It`s only when files are manipulated that power consumption degrades.....and that is because of the normally required RAM to make the manipulation happen.

e.Digital`s methods do not utilize a working RAM memory....and that ability is because of the underlying file structure....it allows the minimal use of a cache sized to the read write block of flash.

Everything is hinged on this structure.
