Southwest considering in-flight entertainment

Other fronts where Southwest seems to be morphing into a more conventional carrier:

• Amenities. Notoriously bare-bones Southwest is considering adding some type of in-flight entertainment technology, Kelly has said.

As several have posted, the IFE biz is small and a tough sell in the midst of many red ink carriers with poorly thought out legacy union deals. Basically, the legacy carriers are waiting to die a slow death, one way or another.

There are a few exceptions to the red ink crowd. Southwest is one of them.

I hope Willy is paying attention and knows the route to Dallas` Love Field.
