Yield Development Manager
Main purpose
To drive the development of yield management strategies and processes, with the ultimate aim to improve revenue contribution per flight.
Key accountabilities
Implement current programme of yield enhancing improvements and develop and drive new innovative strategies to maximise future flight revenue.
Manage two Yield Developers, ensuring their continued contribution towards improving current yield performance.
Identify and extract relevant information required for analysing pricing related strategies and policies from various databases utilising Microsoft Access. Analyse extracted information and use to determine and implement most optimal future strategies and policies.
Analyse and identify situations, in which our current yield management system is under performing, present results, and suggest and implement improvements.
Identify ways to improve automation of current yield management processes, such as loading new flights and the assigning of appropriate fares.
Work together with Regional General Manager’s to optimise future performance from their respective bases.
Establish formal process of introducing new development strategies.
Improve methods of identifying and responding to outliers from normal demand.
Identify ways to improve forecasting methods and assist with forecasting when necessary.
Report yield performance to the rest of the yield and analysis team, and the wider commercial team when necessary.
Assist in one off yield projects, producing presentations to highlight issues that arise.
Remain up to date with best practices with regards to yield management in the business community and the academic world.
Working relationships
This role reports to the Head of Yield Management & Analysis.
This role is responsible for two Yield Developers
Will work closely with other members of the Yield Management & Analysis Team, Regional General Manager’s, and Route Manager’s to develop optimum yield development strategies.
Key performance indicators
Improve yield performance, and therefore improve contribution per flight for the easyJet network.
Deliver agreed development deadlines for current yield enhancement programme.
Produce and deliver effective future yield development programme.
Provide clear management information as required, to assist in monitoring of current revenue performance.
Person specification for recruitment
Either a strong knowledge of yield management issues, with at least 3 years experience in this area, or extensive experience in utilising Microsoft Access (including VBA) to extract, manipulate and summarise data from large databases.
Evidence of project management, especially with regards to developing performance enhancing strategies.
Strong data analysis skills, preferably utilising Microsoft Access and Excel.
A logical thinker with a good analytical background.
Used to working and delivering under pressure.
Graduate, preferably a numerical or computing based degree.
