June 19, 2006 – INDIAN carrier Jet Airways is now operating a new Airbus A330-200 fitted with Panasonic audio/video-on-demand IFE.

The airline, which is celebrating the first anniversary of its service from Mumbai to Heathrow, took delivery of the aircraft within the last few weeks. AVOD is available in business class and broadcast, also to in-seat screens, in economy.

The A330 is on lease from ILFC and is the forerunner of a fleet of ten on order from Airbus and due to start entering service early next year. Jet Airways has also ordered ten Boeing 777-300ERs. These aircraft will be used to serve a growing international network that already includes Colombo, Katmandu, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and London.
