Trials - SGE

I’m not so sure we can be certain that there weren’t enough eVUs (or something close enough) with which to conduct a proof-of-concept trial in late 2005. I wouldn’t want to completely trust any second-hand information.

But then why does it even matter what easyJet trialed in 2005? They could well have been digEplayers. They could even have been provided by Digecor. If they were, it would explain a lot about why Digecor is so upset over the apparent potential loss of future business to e.Digital.

Don’t forget though that Mezzo Movies is in business for themselves, not e.Digital. In that regard, they ARE handset-agnostic. They’ll recommend what they believe is best for themselves and the airlines. For now, they have evidently decided it will be the eVU. Whether and how long that remains the case will be up to e.Digital and their competition. I just hope that e.Digital delivers and will continue to make them happy.

The news yesterday and today remains the best confirmation (that real opportunities exist for the company going forward) we’ve received in a very long time. There’s no basis for arguing the initial order size, but I don’t think it’s just for a trial. I DO think additional orders will be coming over the next few months.
