It will be interesting to see if the ``sister`` company relationship of ptsc with TPL opens doors for EDIG or if they go with another IP partner.

IP protection is all the rage and is quite valuable to any company that can demonstrate infringement. The infringers in portable handhelds are some rather notable names and have ``created`` their markets at the expense of some technologies they don`t own. Many are now being forced to pay up.

Even if EDIG gives up a chunk of its IP ownership, imo it will be well worth it if it means they can move forward on this front.
