EDIG wrote in their recent release:

digEcor is seeking, among other things, an injunction to prevent e.Digital from selling or licensing certain digital rights management (DRM) technology “to any other party besides digEcor” and “from engaging in any competition with digEcor until after 2009.”

The word ``certain`` is of interest.

My hunch is that whatever security scheme the eVu is using is something different than what EDIG may or may not have provided to digEcor. Perhaps some clever manuevering by the EDIG gang? Moreover, the AVI file format is mentioned a few times with respect to what digEcor requested, while I have not seen that specific format mentioned in connection with the eVu. All IMHO.
